An annular blowout preventer uses a packing element as part of its sealing mechanism. Its suitability depends on the manufacturer's operating limits, the tubular or opening to be sealed, and the well's service conditions.
Send the required bore, working pressure, end connections and hydraulic control information. For replacement equipment, include the installed unit's manufacturer, model and nameplate or drawing so differences can be identified during review.
State the required packing-element service, operating temperature and fluid exposure. Any proposed equipment or alternative requires confirmation against the complete specification; a matching nominal size alone does not establish suitability.
